We were fortunate to be able to purchase this 1969 Dodge Daytona shortly after the conclusion of the 2020 Mecum auction where we sold our F6 green Daytona. This car is amazingly original and in great shape. The story on this one is that it was sold new in Miami and lived its life in southern Florida. In 1974 it was bought by a friends father so that he could teach his kids how to parallel park. The father thought that this was the longest car he could find and after a few months of parking practice, the car was parked in the garage. The car sat in the garage until I purchased it after the auction in 2020. Due to being stored inside, the car remained in great shape. The specifications on this one are: 1969 Dodge Daytona, 440 engine, 727 automatic transmission, R4 red exterior, white interior and white wing.
Disassembly has begun, paint removal is complete and body work is progressing. The engine, transmission and rear end have all been rebuilt.
Follow along as work progresses on this very original classic!
